We traveled through college side by side… I did most of her homework and she bought most of my lunch.  (kidding, sort of)   We learned the basics and specifics of photography and built a lifelong friendship in the process.  Katie and Mike are expecting a little girl in just 4 weeks and I can’t wait to meet their little beauty!

Last week I had a great session on Gull Lake photographing the most goregous blue eyes I’d ever seen!

Just a few days later Tripp became a big brother and lucky me, I get to photograph her tomorrow.  Have I mentioned lately that I love my job?

Thank you, Farrah & Jarrod for inviting me to document these new stages in your life.  Your family is beautiful and I am eager to meet your little girl!

I just returned home from the greatest weekend ever! 

I’ve been at my mom’s for the past 4 days helping to get things ready for Annie’s baby shower which we had on Saturday.  So many fabulous women: friends & relatives all under one roof.  It was a wonderful day and the sun even decided to shine.  Annie was showered with so many generous gifts…

After the shower, we headed out to one of our favorite parks for a few more photos.

I think these photos capture Annie & Troy perfectly; they are happy, they are in love, and they smile easily… and they are so anxious to meet their little one in just a month.

Annie & Troy, we joke around 99% of the time we are together but to be serious for just ONE second, I want to tell you how excited we all are for you and how much we care about you both and the baby you’re about to have.  This weekend was so special and I feel so lucky to be your sister.   Next time I see you, you’ll be parents and it will likely be very difficult to remember what it was like when you weren’t.   You’ll be a strong team, and your baby will be so lucky.

She’s a beautiful wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, friend, and soon to be mama:

Annie and Troy are due to be parent’s on June 11, 2010…They’ll be parents, I’ll be an aunt. 

Annie is my sister, and our entire family is elated with the upcoming birth of this little baby.

While I was visiting them in South Dakota last week, I photographed their maternity session.  Despite 30+ mph winds, rain, and cold we managed to have a quick 30 minute session at a pasture where they keep their cows in the summer. 

Annie and Troy are waiting to find out if they’re having a boy or a girl; afterall, there is no greater REAL suprise in life.   I commend them for their patience, because as the super cool, ready-to-shop-aunt, I’m dying to find out!

Troy had to work, so we plan on finishing the session in a few weeks when they come home for a baby shower…

Annie, you are beautiful pregnant.  I am so excited for you and Troy to be parents.  You will be so good at it.  Thank you for letting me stay with you for so many days last week.  Visiting you is on my list of Top 5 favorite things to do.   I love you and I am so happy for you.

Another one of  “my brides” is having a baby!  I love it!  It’s so special to photograph these huge life events…

Joanna and Derik were married last September and I have loved getting to know them ever since.  They are the greatest parents to the happiest girl I know…. Miss Charleigh is a smiley, funny, sweet burst of energy…just what my camera loves.  Their little boy is arriving in a few weeks and I look forward to photographing their family of 4.

Joanna and Derik, thank you AGAIN for asking me to photograph your growing family.  You have been such kind people to me, and so supportive of my business.  I look so foward to meeting your little boy !

I’ve known Amy & Doug for a number of years now…they are expecting their first baby at the end of this summer!    I met them at their beautfiul acerage in Cannon Falls last month for a some fun pregnancy photos.  I can hardly wait to document their little boy’s tiny fingers and toes in 6 shorts weeks!
