Kelsey & Scott

September 2nd, 2010~ Weddings

I have a new favorite wedding color palette after photographing Kelsey & Scott’s July 31 wedding:  Gray and Pink.  Simply gorgeous.  It was so classy and timeless.

I had talked with Kelsey & Scott for about 9 months leading up to their wedding, but never had the opportunity to meet them since they live in Chicago.  There is nothing more uncomfortable {in my opinion} than showing up to photograph someone’s wedding without ever having met them in person.  I so loved our quick coffee date 2 days before their wedding to introduce ourselves and hammer out some last minute details.  I left our meeting even MORE excited for their wedding because they were so warm, friendly and extremely trusting of me and my camera.

Their wedding day flew by and I didn’t look at the back of my camera once that day…It was a treat to get home and see some of my favorite photos of the entire summer:

That last shot of the bride and groom on the dance floor with the red hues behind them is fabulous. Just…wow. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Chelsie, the pictures are fabulous as always! I love the one where Kelsey is whispering something to her dad. Those are the moments so precious to capture. And now my awesome sister-in-law Donna (Kelsey’s aunt) only has to wait for one more set of pictures!

Kelli & Ben

August 31st, 2010~ Weddings

A hot summer day turned to heavy rain for Kelli and Ben as they were married on July 24 at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.   Photos were wrapped up without a single rain drop, but just as Kelli walked down the aisle the skies opened up…The show went on & just as Ben spoke his vows to Kelli, the sun showed for a few moments before the rain continued.  It was an absolutely beautiful wedding!

The shot of the bride leaning into the groom against the fence is wonderful! And I love the Scottie ring bearer…looks like my own Stewart!

Matt & Lindsay

July 25th, 2010~ Weddings

After a month of cloudy and sometimes rainy June weddings, the sun shined brightly for Matt & Lindsay’s wedding in Nisswa and Breezy Point on July 11, 2010.

A beautifully designed wedding is a joy to photograph and their wedding was no exception.  Every detail was carefully planned and flawlessly executed.

Matt & Lindsay, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day and for the sacrifices you’ve made to protect our country.  You are the kind of people that others feel lucky to know.  Congratulations on your new life as husband and wife!

Britta & Mark

July 19th, 2010~ Weddings

Another beautiful wedding, another beautiful couple

Britta & Mark were married at Moondance on June 26, 2010.  I had been looking forward to their wedding for months because I LOVE photographing outdoor ceremonies.  Britta & Mark’s families were remarkable… Never before had I seen two seperate families morph into one large family the way they did.  It was impossible to know where one family ended and the other began.

Thank you so much, Britta & Mark, for inviting me to share in your wedding day.  Thank you for giving me so much time to photograph you and document your day.  I wish you the very best!

Oh yes, the kissing on the rocks shot is excellent; love the water! I also love the one of the couple with his hands in his pockets (the suspenders rock!) and they are looking at each other….such natural looks on their faces!

April & Nathan

July 4th, 2010~ Weddings

April & Nathan were married on June 19 in Nisswa, Minnesota.

Faith-filled, genuine, beautiful and joyous are just a few words I could use to describe April & Nathan’s relationship.  Getting to know them and photographing their wedding was an honor for me.  I felt so fortunate to have been asked to play a small part in their wedding day.

I really could go on and on about these two, and how their relationship and 2 week old marriage is already one to be admired but I’ll just let their photos portray the closeness, affection, and love that they have for one another.  Not to mention they are funny and kind and caring….and on and on and on…

April & Nathan, you’re just the best and I am thankful we’ve met.  Many blessings to you both and I wish for you a long, beautiful marriage.

Oh Chelsie….I’m in love with the shots on the dock and the trail. Especially the black/white close-up of the couple touching foreheads and the bride smiling into the camera. Gorgeous!!

Stunning! What a great looking couple! I kept scrolling down to each new image and found myself saying the same thing, “Oh, that ones great!”

Beautiful images Chelsie! April, CONGRATULATIONS! Looks like an absolutely perfect day!

Heidi & Josh

June 25th, 2010~ Weddings

Heidi & Josh were married on a rainy June day in Park Rapids…  If ever there was a bride who could care less about the weather, Heidi was it.  Sure it was a bummer, but Heidi never stopped smiling once.  I just adored their attitude and willingness to get a little wet for some fun wedding photos.  Thank you so much for inviting me to photograph your wedding.  You two are just so happy together, and that is a piece of cake to document.  Congratulations and many blessings!
