Sally & Matt

December 19th, 2010~ Engagement

I met Sally & Matt for their fall engagement session at the quarries in Waite Park, MN.  We walked, hiked and climbed until it got dark and I had the greatest time getting to know them, learning their story, and talking about their wedding.  Being with them and photographing them was effortless and comfortable and I am so excited for their August wedding at Cragun’s resort.  I hope these photos portray how fun, affectionate and happy these two are:

Great pics of them against the rocks! I also like the one of them sitting in front of the railing and looking at each other. Just beautiful. Great job Chels!

Mackenzie & Aaron

November 8th, 2010~ Engagement

Some photographers might grumble when it comes to photographing family members… Not me.  It’s one of the best parts of my job.  My cousin’s wedding, my older sister’s pregnancy, my neice’s first days of life, and now my little sister’s engagement.  It’s my greatest joy to photograph the people I love most.

Mackenzie is my little sister and one of my best friends.  We’ve shared a bedroom, we’ve shared secrets, we’ve shared life’s joys and life’s sorrows.   There are no words to describe how much I love her.  She’s hardworking, she’s clever and her heart must be made of pure gold.

Aaron is the perfect man for her.  Our family loves him and welcomes him with open arms.  Sometimes when us sisters & cousin’s get together, we’re just plain weird.  Somehow he continues to come back to each get-together, trip, and family dinner.  We already consider him a part of our family, and on May 7, 2011, it will be official.

I love you both and I’m thankful you both found what you were looking for.

I love the one of them sitting in the middle of the walking path. Wonderful faces on those two and what a great perspective! Great job Chelsie and congrats to your family!

My goodness you are busy Chelsie! Mackenzie & Aaron look so content and happy – awesome pictures and back-drops/settings – very cool. I’ve been checking your postings on your blog every few days and you continually have new posts every couple of days, wow!

Mattie & Tim

September 30th, 2010~ Engagement

This is such a fun and busy time of year…wrapping up another wedding season for 2010 and meeting brand new couples for 2011.  I am so excited for Mattie & Tim’s September wedding at Breezy Point, next year.  We met for a fun, fall engagement session in Uptown  last weekend and I immediately was crazy about them.   They are sweet and funny and I could have photographed them for hours… Luckily for me, next year I’ll be able to!

I love photos taken in the city just as much as photos taken in the country. The architectural detail is just as beautiful as nature. Love the landscape shot of them in the field for sure; great faces and lovely colors. Great job Chelsie!

WOW. Beautiful use of the fall colors! Can’t wait to see this wedding…gorgeous couple!

Once again can’t say how much we love our pictures enough! Thanks again for the fun evening!

Rachel & Matt

July 29th, 2010~ Engagement

Matt & Rachel became engaged while cross country skiing last winter at the Northland Arboretum, so it only seemed appropriate that we have their engagement session there too!  We met on a warm (buggy!) summer night and had a blast walking around the beautiful grounds at the arboretum and getting to know each other.   I love their story as it parellels Sean’s and mine… a little match.com and a move up north can definitely lead to love.  I am so excited to be photographing their September wedding.  Fall is just around the corner!

Pictures were wonderful. What a happy, in love couple and to think this is my daughter Rachel and Son in law to be, Matt. These pictures tell us a beautiful love story. Dorene and Curt.

Chelsie – Thank you for capturing the essence of this beautiful Minnesota evening, and also the joy we feel for each other, and our upcoming wedding! You are a true artist and I am so thrilled you will be photographing this special milestone in our lives.

OK, I *might* be a bit biased (eh-hem, sister of the bride), but these are absolutely beautiful! Fantastic work! Excited to meet you at the wedding!

The black/white shot of the couple with her head on his shoulder is stunning. And the splashing water shot is great fun; I love her thrown-back head and the laughter!

Anne & Steve

June 2nd, 2010~ Engagement

A photo shoot in the big city! I love it!

I met Anne & Steve in St. Paul for their engagement session last week, and we had sooo much fun despite the 93 degree temperature.  We had a great night together comparing our love stories from Match.com.  Anne & Steve will be married in September in St. Paul with a reception at the Science Museum.  I can hardly wait!

Thank you for trusting me with your wedding day, Anne & Steve…  If your engagment session was any indication, September 25th will be a fabulous day!

OMG…the shots of them in front of those church doors are amazing!! And can I just say that this girl is gorgeous. For one thing, she looks fabulous in blue with her dark hair, but that close-up black/white shot of her is just stunning! Congrats to the lovely couple. And great job Chelsie!
