Josh

December 8th, 2010~ Kiddos

My favorite little guy!  I’ve photographed Josh since he was a newborn and when it was time for this photo session this year the winds were whipping and the rain was pouring… Our backup plan was inside their beautiful home.  Everything went perfecty and I had a ball spending some time with him.

As always, I love visiting South Dakota, and this time I got to photograph my sister, Annie’s, in-laws.  Jim & Trudi and their family are moving to Fargo soon, and it was fun to romp around their property and photograph the kids:

Jim & Trudi, it was wonderful to see you again, and I hope these photos provide you with many good memories as you move on to a new adventure!

What wonderful photos! I love the vests that everyone is wearing. The b/w shot of the kids sitting on the road is just fantastic and the family shot at the end is wonderful. Great job Chelsie!

Chelsie….you did a wonderful job! I love them, now to pick my favs! Thanks for the great job you do, you really caught my kids personalities!

Miller Family

December 2nd, 2010~ Families, Kiddos

Brrrrr!  It’s that time of year!  Winter sessions are here and it was fun to play in the snow with this family last weekend.

I was in love with their home and beautiful property.  There were so many places to explore and photograph.  These kids are hearty little Minnesotans…trudging through the snow and cold without complaining.   Though our toes were cold and our noses were red, they allowed me to create for them with no rush.  I am so appreciative for that and for them seeing a value in family portraiture.

Thank you, Joel & Stacy, for inviting me over.  You have a beautiful family with such kind, respectful and fun children.  I enjoyed our session so much and I wish you a wonderful Christmas!

I loved seeing this family again and meeting all the cousins for a fall session!   It’s never easy to corral your entire family for a photoshoot,  but it is sooo worth it.    Someone once said the sibling and cousin relationship is the longest relationship you’ll have your entire life.  I hope these kids continue to love and play with their cousins for years to come:

The Bray’s

November 5th, 2010~ Families, Kiddos

This has been my busiest fall season yet!  The colors changed fast and fell fast.  I met The Bray’s along the Paul Bunyan Trail for our photo shoot and I had a blast.  They are so fun and happy together and it was great to meet their new puppy!

The third picture down of the boys sitting cross-legged on the walking path…wow. What a wonderful shot, Chelsie! And the one of the family together in the tall grasses is just perfect. Even the dog is looking at the camera. I can totally see that one blown up as a canvas on the wall!

One of the best parts of my job is watching children grow up and being asked to photograph a family year after year.  When I first met Jill and Brandon, their youngest son was just a few days old!  It was a blast photographing these busy boys in Breezy Point a few weeks ago:
