Kelly & Dan

I couldn’t have hand picked a more special wedding to wrap up my 2009 season.  Kelly & Dan’s November 28th wedding at Grandview Lodge is one I will never forget.  It was a classic display of love, admiration, devotion and faith.  Never before have I seen a groom speak directly to his bride with the sincerity and love that Dan did - as they were surrounded by family and friends during their reception, he spoke directly to her as though no one else was in the room.   Even more than their faith and love, I will remember this wedding for the challenge it presented me in photographing their wedding portraits nearly after dark.  My nerves shook like the remaining leaves on the oak trees above Grandview, but with immense cooperation and answered prayers, their photos are some of my favorite from the year.   Kelly & Dan, your wedding has left an indelible impression on me; it pushed me beyond my comfort zone, challenged me to grow, and ultimately left me with a very warm heart.   I admire your faith, and cheer for your future.  Thank you for asking me to be present at this most special day.  You are two extraordinary people, and I gathered that just from being around you for 8 hours.   Blessings on you both!

Such a neat idea… Kelly & Dan’s dinner place cards were hung on these trees attached to Christmas ornaments:

My trainer sat on my shoulder and I could hear her whisper, “they’re not good”, but I’m sure she was very wrong….

Great stuff! The black-n-white shot of the guys is very GQ! And I love the shots taken against the sun-setting blue sky. Beautiful!

You just keep getting better and better Chelsie, these pictures are amazing! They’re illuminating against the darkening sky, absolutely breath-taking!
