Jason ~ Darcy ~ Cameron ~ Keaton

August 14th, 2010~ Families, Kiddos

So let me start by saying, this isn’t just ANY family.   Darcy and Jason are my friends, and I feel beyond lucky to call them that.  I met Jason & Darcy almost 2 years ago at a local meeting for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, the national non-profit infant rememberance photography organization.  Jason and Darcy are photographers, active members of NILMDTS, but most importantly, parents to two of the funniest, smartest, most inquisitive boys I’ve ever met.  It was an honor to photograph them last month and document their family at this memorable stage in life.   Jason & Darcy are extraordinary parents who put family first above all else, and their boy’s good natured personalites are proof of their love, devotion and quick wit.   I so deeply admire them as individuals and feel so blessed to know this family:

This photo cracks me up.  Have you ever been to a gift shop and seen the quote: “Who are these kids and why are they calling me mom?”  Kinda reminds me of that…

I love the last shot of the family walking down the road. That needs to be a giant canvas up in the family room somewhere!

Jake

August 6th, 2010~ Families, Kiddos

Baby Jake was the latest little buddy to give me my ‘baby fix’.  Oh he was so sweet and loveable and the perfect little model for his first photo session:

Ahhh….hugging Daddy’s shoulder. I just melted right here on the spot. Precious!

Rachel & Matt

July 29th, 2010~ Engagement

Matt & Rachel became engaged while cross country skiing last winter at the Northland Arboretum, so it only seemed appropriate that we have their engagement session there too!  We met on a warm (buggy!) summer night and had a blast walking around the beautiful grounds at the arboretum and getting to know each other.   I love their story as it parellels Sean’s and mine… a little match.com and a move up north can definitely lead to love.  I am so excited to be photographing their September wedding.  Fall is just around the corner!

Pictures were wonderful. What a happy, in love couple and to think this is my daughter Rachel and Son in law to be, Matt. These pictures tell us a beautiful love story. Dorene and Curt.

Chelsie - Thank you for capturing the essence of this beautiful Minnesota evening, and also the joy we feel for each other, and our upcoming wedding! You are a true artist and I am so thrilled you will be photographing this special milestone in our lives.

OK, I *might* be a bit biased (eh-hem, sister of the bride), but these are absolutely beautiful! Fantastic work! Excited to meet you at the wedding!

Bella

July 27th, 2010~ Families, Kiddos

Here is beautiful Bella… 7 pounds of sweetness and the newest addition to Jarrod & Farrah’s family.  I was eager to meet her after having just photographed her mama, daddy and big brother a few days before she arrived.  I can say without hesitation she was the perfect baby and perfect model for her first photo shoot… so completely calm, quite, and beautiful:

Love the tattoo shot and one of her with the bow on the knit cap. Congrats to the family!

Matt & Lindsay

July 25th, 2010~ Weddings

After a month of cloudy and sometimes rainy June weddings, the sun shined brightly for Matt & Lindsay’s wedding in Nisswa and Breezy Point on July 11, 2010.

A beautifully designed wedding is a joy to photograph and their wedding was no exception.  Every detail was carefully planned and flawlessly executed.

Matt & Lindsay, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day and for the sacrifices you’ve made to protect our country.  You are the kind of people that others feel lucky to know.  Congratulations on your new life as husband and wife!

What wonderful colors! The girls on the beach is fantastic and that deer hunting photo is hilarious! Great job!

Tripp

July 22nd, 2010~ Families, Kiddos, Maternity

Last week I had a great session on Gull Lake photographing the most goregous blue eyes I’d ever seen!

Just a few days later Tripp became a big brother and lucky me, I get to photograph her tomorrow.  Have I mentioned lately that I love my job?

Thank you, Farrah & Jarrod for inviting me to document these new stages in your life.  Your family is beautiful and I am eager to meet your little girl!

The one of that darling boy looking straight at the camera against that siding backdrop is fantastic! And I love sunshine in the last shot of the mother…that would be a great shot blown up. Great job!
